Swatch #3: Holy Seed Stitch Batman
Maybe blocking will help this one out, too. I was doing so well at about 3cm and then ka-put-skie.
And, check out that wonky edge! Which one? Both of them.
Now, I have to go get more yarn.

See those little holes here and there? Those are the things you have to avoid. The trick is to make sure that when you move the yarn from the front to the back, or vice versa, you make sure the yarn is all the way forward [or back] and give it an extra little tug. With a good elastic yarn, any wee wee holes left will get filled in when you wash and block. Which very well may be the case for this block.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you out of yarn, are you still working with the Mission Falls yarn? I unravelled all of that and made a darling pair of kidlet mitts that I dyed red. I'm knitting with the Patons yarn, lot's of it, good quality and relatively inexpensive.
I gave up on Mission Falls, and picked up the rest of the Patons Merino and don't have enough to complete my next swatch.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I went all the way to the Glebe to pick up two skeins. I'm hoping to have enough until the hat comes around. But I can't see myself picking up needles until next week. Poohie.
